Combo reworks

Tuesday, June 23, 2009

I just came back from Sweden and was a little lazy in general lately. So now i'm hooking you guys up with some serious reworks of rather known and unknown artists by Stockholm's Combo. The tracks come via the excellent swedish 24 hours blog, which is always a guaranteed thumbs up in every post!

To start off slow i have an excellent leftfield disco rework of The president is gone by John Carpenter! The remix keeps up the stringent original theme and adds a few more percussions, giving the track a modern drive.

It gets a little faster with Combo's rework of Kleerup's Music for Girl!

And last but not least Combo had his hands on one of the stand out tracks by one of my favourite detroit legends Robert Hood. Anyone who heard or played out the original of Minus knows the timeless driving force behind this track. In the remix it comes off a little more steady, but keeps up the incredibly hypnotizing main theme of the original. Ace!
